A tag is a word or group of words which can be applied to a device to describe one of its attributes.

You can add multiple tags to each device and there is no limit to the number of tags you can create.

For example, you can tag a device with words such as its location (room number, building name, district), which person or group it belongs to (John A, teachers, IT), the type of device (panel, OPS, Chromebox), etc.

Tags added to your devices can be used with other features of Radix, such as ‘Filter groups’ and ‘Users’.

  • Use tags to create filter groups and show all the devices with a particular tag or set of tags in the Device console.
  • Use tags when adding new users to your Radix domain to ensure they can only see the devices containing those tags.
